Richard Bramwell
Director
Richard began his career with a Bath partnership in 1996 and founded the agency with Sophie in 2009. He carries out most of the firm's valuations in the city and still prefers to hand over keys himself.

Our history
Bramwell & Hale was established in 2009 by Richard Bramwell and Sophie Hale, who had worked together at a larger Bath practice and wanted to run an office where the same people handled a sale from valuation to completion.
We opened on Milsom Place with two staff and a single filing cabinet. A second office followed in Frome in 2014, and a third in Wells in 2019. All three branches share one register, so a buyer registered in Wells hears about a Bath property the same morning it comes to the market.
We remain wholly independent, with no corporate ownership and no referral arrangements with conveyancers or brokers. That is deliberate: it means the advice you get is only about selling or letting your property well.

Sophie Hale
Sales Manager
Sophie oversees the sales register across all three offices and runs the Frome branch two days a week. She is the person most sellers speak to about progress on their chain.

Tom Ellery
Senior Negotiator
Tom joined in 2016 after five years in lettings and handles viewings and negotiation for Bath and the surrounding villages. He knows the Wellow and Freshford lanes better than most.
